At Landwaart Culinair in the Dutch town of Maartensdijk, everything just fits together perfectly: product assortment and target group, quality and presentation – and also the light and architecture. Owner Wim Landwaart has turned his parents' fruit and vegetables shop into an award­ winning gourmet temple which regular customers are happy to go out of their way to visit

After major renovations, Landwaart now offers premium quality fine foods in an area of more than 900 sqm. Selected fruit and vegetables take centre stage, but the store also sells bread baked freshly in its own bakery, delicatessen products, salads, beverages and teas and also a selection of freshly prepared, daily­changing dishes from the catering department.

Landwaart leaves nothing to chance when it comes to product presentation. Fruit and vegetables are not only arranged and presented according to colour; they are illuminated by product­specific lighting from BÄRO, as is the entire premises.

Ontero EC spotlights with the special light colour Sun gives fresh fruits a rich colour and a sun-kissed brilliance while bakery products are shown to best advantage with the colour GoldenBread. The colour nuances of delicatessen products are rendered perfectly with the cool light colour PearlWhite which also increases saturation.

But it is not just the light: with their high-quality design the EC series and the ID series are also design features. In striking strato black they are mounted on suspended black tracks, emphasising the technical impression of the open ceiling.
